You can get a bunch that are compatible with proportions mod from the "atrocities" ship set pack already in the "extras" folder of your game's main directory.There are a number of quirks in Space Empires V that aren't technically bugs because they can be corrected via modding. The only other compatible things I would add to the game are more ship sets (every race/empire in Space Empires has/needs a collection of images of its ships, bases, flag, race picture, etc etc.these imaged are held together in a folder and called a "ship set"). But, even if you launch it without steam, I think steam will still tell you how many minutes you played (both launching it with and without)ģ. Remember that it WON'T say proportions mod, but if you start an actual game you will notice that it probably is.(check to see if there is a cultural centre on your homeworld.if there is, you're playing proportions mod). Hmmm.when I launch from steam, the game is still in proportions mod. I don't think it is a big deal you can use the TDM included in the "extras" folder, even if its outdated.Ģ. A quick way to make sure is to start up a game using "quick start" and look at your homeworld's facilities. Mine still says "Version 1.95" as if it were still vanilla. Note that when you boot up the game it may NOT say "Proportions 3.1.3". If this does not work for whatever reason, go into the "Path.txt" notepad file in the main directory and change the "Using Mod Directory" part of the file to say ":= Proportions" Use the executable created by the TDM modpack to launch the mod.ĥ. Mod and extract the files into the "Proportions" folder you made in the se4 directory.Ĥ. create a file in the main directory called "Proportions".ģ.
